With 2021 TN Assembly Elections nearing, Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s two-day visit to Tamil Nadu has steered great parley on social media. He is also set to lay the foundation for infrastructure projects in various parts of Tamil Nadu that will be worth Rs 63,378 crores apart from instigating measures for the upcoming elections. He will be meeting TN BJP head Dr. L Murugan and BJP representatives, while there will be exchanges with the alliance party AIADMK and its members.
The Home Minister will commence his schedule with a floral tribute to AIADMK founders and icons MGR and J Jayalalitha at Kalaivanar Arangam followed by which the foundation ceremonies begin. Postulations for a meeting with actor Rajinikanth has been around while he is deciding on his political entry before the forthcoming assembly elections in the state.
The TN BJP state president said that Amit Shah’s visit to the state might bring down shivers among TN political parties.
Whilst the Union Minister posted a tweet last night about his visit, TN Twitter users were quick enough to snap back with their opposition standing in solidarity for his visit with #GoBackAmitShah, which has been trending from 10 PM on November 20 while supporters with #TNwelcomesAmitshah has also attracted around 100K+ tweets.
Amidst all the buzz on the internet, there is an impending question on TN’s opposition for leaders from BJP visiting the state.
The state has been the home to Dravidian parties throughout history, and BJP’s repeated endorsements to set their party’s backbone straight has always been a failure.
The national party has already started its rallies in the name of “Vetrivel Yatra” in which actress Khusbhu recently participated after meeting with an accident. There has been hostility for these rallies as they will only be an underpinning for violence in the state however, Amit Shah’s visit will only be an added advantage to strengthen the party’s foundation in the state.
Each time when a representative of the NaMo Government visits TN, people of neighbouring states of Andhra Pradesh and Kartnataka also come together raising voice against them, in a trend war.
